I noticed in the club news letter your request to raise
£250.00. to move the flag pole to the rear of our plinth at the National Memorial Aoboretum Staffs.I think your idea to have our Regimental flag flying above and slightly to the rear of the regiments plinth is a sound one. I feel that we should not let anything at all [ Trees or what ever ] obscure the flag of the regiment. [Our Regiment ] After all it fly's for all who have served, all who have passed, and those of us that are left. I am prepared to donate £50.00.to this end, if the rest of the shiners who have great memories of the regiment and their time with their comrades will just donate £1.00. each.So let's do what we always did, "GET THE JOB DONE AND DONE WELL." My best wishes to all Shiners and their family's.
