Had a phone call this afternoon from Ted Williams informing me of the death of Richard Hollands on 19th April 2009,age 67.He suffered from lung cancer and also had an aneurysm repaired.I do not know any further details.Ted was an old friend and had been trying to contact Dick for some time and eventually found his brother who gave him the news.

Although I did not know Richard Hollands personally, I still find it sad to hear of the death of another XRH member.  It brings home the fact that we are all seniors at some stage or another.  Stay well.

I know Richard did'nt have the easiest time. Losing his 1st wife with cancer and his 2nd having to go into care after a stroke and on top of that ,his own health. He had hoped to go to 1st troop's reunion. Unfortunately we now know why he did'nt make it. Bless you  Richard.
